The 9th International Exhibition on Livestock and Poultry “Zootechnia”, organized by TIF-Helexpo from January 29 to February 1 at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center, set a record for attracting a high level of participation. Specifically, the number of visitors – ordinary and commercial – reached 50.354, compared to 42.164 in 2013 and is the highest since the exhibition was first organized in 1999. The previous visitor record was recorded in 2007 with 42.808 people passing through the exhibition gates then.
This year’s impressive Zootechnia performance in front of the trade visitors was impressive, which was up 114% over the previous year, while foreign visitors were up 278%. This year’s event also saw 69 team visits from business schools, associations and cooperatives, as well as from abroad. The 9th Zootechnia, however, was the largest of all time and exhibitors at 849, compared to 578 in 2013. The previous record was recorded in 2009 with 812 exhibitors. There was great interest in the workshops organized as part of Zootechnia’s parallel events, with the halls crowded. The exhibitors were particularly pleased with the highlights of this year’s event, which included the large number of visitors, especially the commercial and foreign ones, which opened new fields for Greek companies.
The next Zootechnia will be held in 2017, while TIF-Helexpo is renewing its appointment with the rural world at the 26th Agrotica, which will take place from 28 to 31 January 2017. The National Bank of Greece is the Official Bank, Egnatia Odos is a Supporter and Skyserv is the Sponsor.
